Life lessons of courage and empowerment through adventure stories (ever gotten sucked into a cloud while flying a paraglider? Good. You don’t want that), along with practical advice (find the North Star! Change a bike tire! Stand with confidence!), and bios of adventurous women and girls from around the world.
Caroline has been obsessed with adventure ever since she took a flashlight, her twin, and her dog and slept in a tent in the backyard. Since then she has crawled down hot, smoky hallways as a San Francisco firefighter. She has been on rafting expeditions to places like Borneo, Siberia, and Australia. She has flown Cessnas and paragliders. She currently flies a contraption that looks like a hang glider with a lawn mower attached underneath. She surfs, mountain bikes, and skis badly, but with enthusiasm. When she’s not out on a wild adventure, she’s writing books. Reach her at email@example.com.
Wendy is an illustrator whose work has appeared pretty much everywhere, except in the deep wilds of the Amazon and on the Himalayan peaks (but we’re working on that.) She is the author and illustrator of the best seller Meanwhile in San Francisco. Her work can be seen in many books, magazines and newspapers. When she’s not drawing, she is thinking about drawing, her cats, and drawing. Reach her at firstname.lastname@example.org.
